Looks like its the sequel season in malayalam movie industry. We saw many sequels in the last 5 years and with the success of 2 harihar nagar this trend will only increase. Many producers are planning to do sequels for their old successful movies. This means more money being pumped into an already troubling industry. When will these producers realise that what we need is new stories and themes with fresh talent.. and not old stuff in new bottle. ?

Another important development is neelathamara which is a remake of an old movie, with new cast and crew. The story will be ported to a modern situation. Lal Jose is directing the new version. MT is the script writer for the old and the new movie.

Still the link is spreading like wild fire. Are we promoting them ? Is it ethical to promote such yellow journalists.

Techie Fun

Technopark is a place with the highest density of techies in the world. Around 20,000 techies in an very small area working day and night. But life is not monotonous for them.

Technopark conducts an event called the Tech a Break every year, which is the fun event in technopark, where the techies get to enjoy for 2 weeks.

The recent event was Tech a break 2008. There were many events like group dance, singing competitions, sports and games.

In the early days of software, people used to sell software and then forget about it. Service was not a concern. There was no proper feed back mechanism. Different versions of the software would be released, in which the client had to replace the old installation every time a new version was released.

Then I decided to buy a car. Maruti Swift Dzire was released a few days ago. I decided to do a test drive and was impressed by the cars performance. The price is less and its feature packed.

After all swift dezire is an Indian car. May be some engineering is done by Fiat, and suzuki did most of the body work. But still its an indian car.

Girl Commits suicide

Yesterday a girl committed suicide in MACFAST, a well known education institution in Kerala.
The girl cut her veins and then hanged herself. Four suicide notes were found in which she accuses the college management for not having helped her to find a stolen laptop.

Anjathey Review

I went and saw anjathey on the first day itself. I saw the movie cos the same team had done the hit movie, chithiram pesuthadey. It was also a good movie. Anjathey is a thriller. And dont get deceived by the posters, there is not even a single romantic scene in the movie.

Anjathey is superb in terms of the script, the way the story is told, and the climax. The movie has taken full use of the steady cam, and the shots are very realistic. Never seen such wonderful steady cam work in any indian movie.

Narain has acted really well in anjathey. He is suits Tamil films better than malayalam films. He has a tamilian attitude to his looks and acting style.
